The government of Ontario has a mandate to make sure that all patients are screened for certain cancers and have their flu shots. It is our job as physicians to ensure that you are aware of this and that you receive all appropriate screening measures.
For Women:

All women between the ages of 21 and 69 should have a pap smear every 3 years.

All women between the ages of 40 and 74 should have a mammogram every 2 years. **NEW**
Men & Women:

All men and women between the ages of 50 and 74 should be tested for colon cancer with a fecal immunochemical test every 2 years.

All men and women 65 years of age and older should have a flu shot to prevent pneumonia, hospitalization and death.
Generally Walk In Clinics offer urgent care but not emergency care services. If this is an emergency go to your nearest hospital. Otherwise the walk in clinic sees patients on a first come first serve basis. Register with a family doctor if you would like to have permanent long-term care.
